| Squamae appressed, contiguous to imbricate, rounded to deeply and irregularly lobate, plane to convex, matt, pale to medium grey-brown to grey-green, 0.5–2 mm wide, 0.12–0.2 mm thick; margins concolorous, plane to deflexed, entire, often undulate; undersurface off-white to pale brown, anchored by solitary or clustered concolorous rhizohyphae. Perithecia immersed, 1–5 per squama; apex convex, concolorous to dark brown, 0.16–0.22 mm diam.; ostiole usually inconspicuous. Centrum 0.24–0.28 mm wide. Exciple 18–30 µm thick, medium brown to brown-black. Periphyses 30–50 µm long. Asci 2-spored, 74–97 × 19–26 µm. Ascospores broadly ellipsoidal, elongate-ellipsoidal or subcylindrical, 25–50 × 14–19 µm, colourless to pale brown. |  |
