| Squamae loosely attached, solitary or aggregated to slightly overlapping, rounded or lobate, plane, slightly contorted or ascending, with deflexed to revolute margins, pale to medium brown, 1–3 mm wide, 0.25–0.4 mm thick. Lower surface pale brownish, anchored by hyaline rhizohyphae. Perithecia subglobose, to 0.4 mm diam. Exciple pale, darkening with age. Periphyses 30–40 µm long. Asci 60–70 × 15–18 µm. Ascospores 11–15 × 6–7.5 µm. Pycnidia rare. Conidia 3.5–5 µm long. |  |
