Australian Plant Name Index - for Cultivars

The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) provides detailed information on scientific names but DOES NOT recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature.
This search facility restricts a standard APNI search to cultivar names

APNI-Cultivar  input options

BOTANICAL NAME – searches can be conducted for names at the rank of genus or below. Use the % symbol as a wildcard.

e.g. Acacia cultriformis  or   Acacia cult%   or    Acacia  or   Aca%

CULTIVAR NAME – Insert the full cultivar epithet or elements of it within % symbols. You can search on the cultivar name alone, or include a genus in the BOTANICAL NAME field above to restrict your search to a genus.

e.g. %Pink% will find all cultivars in any genus with 'Pink' in their name.

FAMILY – the family to which the plant belongs, following the system used at the Australian National Herbarium. Searches can be made on family alone, but be aware that very large outputs could be generated.

PUBLICATION – the title of the work in which the plant name was published.

YEAR OF PUBLICATION – the year in which the work containing the plant name was published.

Restrict search to cultivars – the check in this box ensures only details of cultivar names will be displayed. Unticked it will display all records for the nominated botanical name as well as cultivars derived from plants with that botanical name.
