Wendy Antoniak is based in Canberra. She began Chinese brush painting a number of years ago and from that developed an interest in botanical art.
Her first experience into this art form was when she joined the Botanic Art Group of the Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens. This group meets regularly each month with the intention of drawing and painting Australian native plants. To develop her skills Wendy has completed a number of art workshops that have enabled her to capture the very essence, beauty and diversity of Australian flora. She has a particular preference for painting and drawing the fruit and seeds of various plants.
Wendy has exhibited each year in the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) Botanic Art Groups' exhibitions and has successfully sold paintings during each of these events. She has also exhibited at other botanical art exhibitions, such as 'Canberra Botanical'; 'Beechworth Botanica' and 'Flora' al the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney.
