Marie Bogoyevitch is a Melbourne based artist. She has followed her passions for science and art in her professional career as a biomedical scientist and, more recently, in botanical art and natural history illustration.
Marie has enjoyed the challenge of presenting the fine detail and beauty of plants in a variety of media, extending her skills in a range of different techniques under the guidance of a number of renowned Australian and international botanical artists. Marie has previously exhibited in the 'reFraming Nature Exhibition' held at the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens (2015, 2017). In her work Banksia integrifolia, presented in this exhibition, Marie explored the use of ink stipple and fine line to represent a magnified view of the Banksia that grows along Australia's east coast.
