Bethany Breslin is a botanical and wildlife illustrator. Her passion for drawing began at the age of 14. However, her real love for animals and nature began when she joined WIRES and enlisted as a carer to look after injured wildlife.
Because Bethany was so inspired by nature and drawing she decided to pursue these interests further through study in a diverse range of art courses offered by TAFE. These enabled her to develop her own unique style, particularly refining her technical skills in colour and drawing. Thereafter, she studied a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration at Newcastle University. Here she further developed skills in botanical, medical and wildlife illustration.
Since completing her degree, Bethany has exhibited in various Sydney and IUawarra art shows and painted multiple large public murals. She spends her time designing and illustrating for her textile merchandise business called NaturalBrush, which she runs with her husband Dominic.
