When C. A. Gardner described Eucalyptus dielsii the collector of the fruit was referred to as W. T. Brown, and the date given as January 1925. The locality was Salmon Gums, W.A., and at that time there was a W. T. Brown named on the electoral rolls for the area as a farmer. In the case of E. kessellii the type locality was also Salmon Gums but the collector was stated to be W. P. Brown. There was no ‘W.P.’ Brown on the electoral rolls and it appears that the initials may be a transcription error for ‘W.T.’
