Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria |
Born at Melbourne Vic., 2 July 1928.
Her working life included 17 years as secretary in the Geology Department of the University of Melbourne; she obtained honour passes in Geology I and Geography at that university.
She developed a special interest in eucalypts, their distribution and relation to all aspects of the environment. This work was mainly done in Vic. but she also had interstate experience. She made a fairly intensive study of the distribution of Eucalyptus yarraensis and E. aggregata in Vic. and found hitherto unrecorded locations of several species. Her more important collections were donated to the Melbourne Herbarium.
Records of much of her eucalypt
work is in articles published in Vict.
Nat. 1959-83, which include volumes 76, 77, 81, 83, 93, 99
and 100. There was also an article on Unusual Distribution of Eucalypts
in Vict. Resources
vol. 7 (78-9) (1965).
