Miss Clarke was born at Charters Towers, Qld, on 16 October 1885 and died there on 14 August 1974.
Collector of the type of E. cambageana Maiden (1913). The type material was collected on Mirtna Station in 1912. This station is on the Great Dividing Range about 120 km south of Charters Towers, and Miss Clarke’s father was the pioneer of the area in the days when goods had to be carted by wagon to and from Port Denison.
