Coleman, Carolyn (fl. 1980s-2000s)Carolyn is a linguist and teacher.
She worked as regional linguist for 12 years with the NT Department of Education.
She has taught English and English as a Second Language in mainstream secondary schools.
In remote NT schools she has taught first-language literacy to First Nations adults and helped to develop curriculum and learning resources for indigenous language and two-way learning programs.
For three years she worked as teacher-linguist in the language program at Maningrida College.
Since joining the Team at the Bininj Kunwok Regional Language and Culture Centre she has worked on resource production and translation projects, and as a language consultant with academic research teams, also with central and West Arnhem community organisations.
