Served in the Airforce in WW2 and later edited a book published in 1993, 'The flying carpet men' based on his ancestor's experience as an airman in WW1.
Appears to have spent much of his life as a drover as his name is associated with several oral history projects on droving ?
Became involved with the 'Acacia Study Group' of SGAP in the 1970s, and many of his collections are Acacia species.
Spent his final years in a retirement village in Naracoorte, in SE South Australia.
There is a 'Pat Conrick Collection' in the Lucindale Historical Society's regional museum in Lucindale, SA:
