Faulkner was born at Upper Tean, Staffordshire, England, on 9 March 1886 and died, probably in Sydney, N.S.W., on 20 September 1948.
He emigrated to Australia in 1910 and became a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Australia: He served at Tamworth and Leichhardt , N.S.W., and was later Superintendent of the Social Services Department of that Church. During his time at St Andrews, East Tamworth ( 1925-32 ), he did some botanical collecting with the Rev. E. N. McKie.
