One of three children, to Thomas Gordon and Maria née Giffen. The family moved to Qld.
Sarah became a school teacher in Cardwell, and collected MEL specimens at Cardwell, 1880, and Rockingham Bay, n.d.
In 1882, Sarah married the Rev. William Frederick Clark-Kennedy (1856-1937), and they had six children.
She died in Qld in 1931 in her 68th year.
One letter from Sarah to Mueller survives.
