Born in WA, 1846, died in Adelaide, SA, 1890.
The youngest of three children, to a soldier, Roger Guerin (c.1806-1878), and his wife, Ellen (c.1810-1878). The Guerins migrated to WA c.1833, and were stationed at Augusta before taking up land at 'Pigeongrove', Vasse.
Jane collected MEL specimens at Busselton, Vasse River, 1860; in the Geraldton, upper Irwin and Murchison districts, 1871; and Geographe Bay, 1874.
She collected types of Myriocephalus guerinae F.Muell. (1874), named for her, and Helipterum kendallii F.Muell. (1874).
Jane stayed with her brother, Fred Guerin, at Champion Bay after her parents died, and later went to SA.
In 1890, Jane died in Adelaide, unmarried, at the age of 44.
