Born in Bunbury, WA, 1850, died at Donnybrook, WA, 30 June 1913.
One of fourteen children, to Edward Godfrey Hester (c.1819-1897) of 'Blackwood Park', near Bridgetown, and Theodosia Sophia née Hall (c.1826-1897).
Frances collected MEL specimens at Blackwood River, 1871-1876.
She collected the type of Lepidosperma leptostachyum Benth. (1878).
In 1877, she married Arthur Heppingstone (c.1843-1913) of 'Cundenup', and they had five children.
Frances died in 1913 at Donnybrook in her 63rd year.
NOTE:
Edward Hester had six other daughters who were unmarried for at least
part of 1871-1880s and may have collected MEL specimens as
'Miss Hester':
