Born in Tas., one of at least two children, to Mr Willett and Anne née Rearing. In 1869, Mary Anne married Robert Jackson (1835-1911), a lighthouse keeper on Deal Island. Mary Anne was unable to sign her marriage certificate. The Jacksons had thirteen children.
Mary Anne collected MEL specimens (with her husband) on Deal Island, 1884. The specimens were forwarded to Mueller by William Lambert Dobson.
Mary Ann died at Table Cape in 1916 aged 65.
