Born on 8 May 1882. He retired to Taree, and died there in 1967, at the age of 85.
He commenced duties with the Forestry Commission of New South Wales on 18 September 1917 and retired as Foreman on Craven State Forest, near Gloucester, on 18 September 1951.
Honoured in the name Eucalyptus largeana
