He worked for the Northern Territory Herbarium based in Alice Springs in the 1970s and at the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Commission in the 1980s. Author of the names Hibiscus arenicola A.S.Mitch., Abutilon lepidum (F.Muell.) A.S.Mitch., and Heliotropium flintii F.Muell. ex A.S.Mitch. Collector of the type material for Senecio eremicola I.Thomps., Thryptomene naviculata J.W.Green, and Platysace saxatilis Keighery. Authored treatments for several families in the Flora of Central Australia (1981) and also booklets Fodder Trees and Shrubs of the Northern Territory (1978), Eucalypts of Central Australia (1980) and Central Australia's Desert Survivors (1981).Sources:
