National Advocate (Bathurst, NSW), Wed 14 May, 1952, Page 2, PERSONAL:
"At the advanced age of 85 years,
there passed away recently at his residence, 'Rotherwood', Asquith, a former resident and highly respected
member of a well known pioneer family of Perthville, in the person of Mr.
Arthur Paddison, and brother of Mr.
A. B. Paddison, of the latter address. One of a family of eight brothers and four sisters, the late Mr.
Paddison left the district at an early
age, and confined his energies to
school teaching in the western parts
of NSW. Upon his retirement he acquired considerable property at Asquith. The minister, in administering the last rites, paid high tribute
to deceased's character, referring to
him as a 'personal friend, of high
intellectual attainments, with a wonderful and sympathetic understanding of human nature, and with whom
it had always been a pleasure to
converse.'"
