Born in Omeo, Vic., 25 February 1880; died in Canada in 1945.
One of six children, to a surveyor James Stirling (1852-1909), and Elizabeth née Reid (1855-95).
Amy collected MEL specimens in South Gippsland (ferns), 1893; and at San Remo and Phillip Island, (no date).
Her father also collected MEL specimens.
In 1905, Amy married Ernest Harrison, an employee of the commonwealth Railways.
She died in Canada in 1945 in her 65th year.
Two letters from Mueller to Stirling survive.
