Tay, Eng Pin (fl.2000s Aust )Eng Pin Tay is a Herbarium Botanist and was at the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, (Kings Park), Perth from 2001 to 2023.
Before this, he worked for 18 years with tropical plants in Singapore as Curator of the then Parks and Recreation Department and as Senior Research Officer 1990-1996 at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and nature reserves under the National Parks Board.
He is author, with Russel Barrett, of 'Perth Plants: A Field Guide to the Bushland and Coastal Flora of Kings Park and Bold Park', now in its second edition.
His earlier book, 'A Pictorial Guide to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, by Tay Eng Pin' was publisherd in Singapore.
A keen
photographer, traveller and experienced botanist, his work has taken him to many natural
areas in Southeast Asia and botanic gardens around the world.
