Born in Romsey, Victoria, on 28 November 1918, died in Sherbrooke, Victoria, on 24 September 1972.
A school teacher with wide-ranging natural history interests, perhaps best known for his work on ferns, and the vegetation of East Gippsland, Victoria. Published Ferns of Victoria and Tasmania (1955, revised 1975). His collections are in MEL.
