Clifford Wall was appointed Supervising Lithographic Artist to the South Australian Government Printing Office on Friday 18 October 1918.
It would appear that this is the same 'Clifford Wall' who is mentioned in the The South Australian Register (Adelaide) on Wednesday 12 December 1894 as achieving 'Excelent' results in Intermediate Solid Geometry as a student of the School of Design, Adelaide, in art and science examinations set by the Board of Governors of the Public Library of South Australia.
George H. Clarke authored a booklet 'Important Weeds of South Australia', with illustrations by "C. Wall" in 1949, first published as articles in the Agricultural Journal in 1936 and 1939, by the Dept of Agriculture of SA, printed by the SA Government Printer.
Archival web research indicates that Clifford Wall illustrated a range of government publications, including 'Protected Native Birds of South Australia' and the patriotic First World War recruitment poster 'South Australians : Fall In ! '
Examples of botanical illustrations by C. Wall:
Gomphocarpus cancellatus (weed)
Oxalis pes-caprae (weed)
Solanum linnaeanum (weed)
