One of eleven children, to a grazier, James Edward Warby (c.1839-1910), and Sarah née Lakeman (d.1911).
'Queenie' was probably the familiar name of one of three sisters: Sarah Florence Warby (1873-1969), Mary Lakeman Warby (1883-1975) or Amy Warby (1888-1911).
The Warby family settled at the sheep station 'Billinbah', Narrandera in 1873.
Queenie collected (numbered) MEL specimens at Narrandera, and Murrumbidgee River, 1894-1895.
None of the sisters married.
Amy Warby and her mother were murdered at 'Billinbah' in 1911.
