Domestic worker. Married William Wilkins, farmer near Wongan Hills (d. Oct. 1900), then Henry Wilkins, farmer also at Wongan Hills, 1903 [Orchard (1999) gives Mrs Wilson]. Collected for Mueller in the area around family property Mangowine, N of Merredin, W.A., c. 1889-1891; also collected for E.H.Ising, Adelaide.

ADAMS, MARY ANNIE (LATER MRS WILKINS), 14 March 1874 - 10 May 1931, coll. WA. Born in WA, the third of eleven children, to settlers Charles Frederick Adams (1846-1895) and Jane Swaine née Glass (1849-1934). The family took up the sheep station 'Mangowine' near Yarragin in 1871. Annie collected MEL specimens around 'Mangowine', 1889-1891. She collected the type of Boronia adamsiana F.Muell. (1890), named for her. Annie also collected plants for Ernest Horace Ising of Adelaide, and plants and birds' eggs for collectors in England. She displayed plant specimens at country shows. In 1901, Annie married the settler William Wilkins (1864- 1901), who died in the same year. In 1903, she married William's brother Henry Wilkins (1874-1936). They lived on a farm at Wongan Hills and had five children. Annie died at Wongan Hills in 1931 aged 57.
