Appendix 2: Vascular plants excluded from the ACT flora

Specimens are held at CANB for the following taxa that have been collected within the ACT. These taxa are excluded from the Census of the Flora of the Australian Capital Territory on the basis of at least one of the following reasons:

plants are adventive within a highly managed environment (e.g. presumed to have self-sown in a garden
an adventive occurrence is limited to a single plant, frequently eliminated in order to prepare a herbarium specimen
an adventive occurrence is of uncertain origin, and may represent cultivated plants only
there is uncertainty as to the taxonomic identity of the specimen(s) concerned

* indicates a taxon not indigenous to Australia or the ACT
# indicates a native Australian taxon not indigenous to the ACT

ALISMATACEAE

Martensz 65, determined by B.R.Keener, but identification uncertain, and may represent S. platyphylla (D.E.Albrecht, pers. comm. Aug. 2016).

ANACARDIACEAE
*Schinus molle var. areira
Aitchison s.n. (CANB 237065); origin uncertain, possibly cultivated. Label data states “Canberra” and “woodland”.

*Daucus carota
Lepschi 237; adventive on waste soil dump on CSIRO Black Mountain site.
