Sagedia macrospora : perithecium in various stages of rupture

On the upper left you can see a perithecium before the swelling and on the upper right is a perithecium that has started to rupture. The four pale globules in the second figure are air bubbles, not spores. The lower two illustrations show well-ruptured perithecia and an enlargement of figure 4 is shown below. In the lower two figures you can see numerous spores - elongated, with several cross-walls and with pointy ends.
