| Thallus irregularly spreading, but often growing in small shallowly incised rosettes to 7 mm diam. Lobes ±broadly cuneate, to 2 mm wide, appressed; margins entire or shallowly incised, coarsely sorediate, the soredia often becoming labriform and spreading onto the lower surface. Upper surface smooth, sometimes faintly pruinose, grey, lemon-yellow to yellow. Lower surface with white rhizines, white. Apothecia extremely rare, similar to those of C. concolor. CHEMISTRY: calycin, pulvinic dilactone and pulvinic acid. | ||
| Known in Australia from Qld and N.S.W. Occurs on nutrient-rich bark and occasionally on rock. Also occurs in the Philippines, China, Nepal, India, the Cape Verde Islands and possibly Japan. | ||
