Thallus to 3 cm wide, membranous, adnate, fragile, deeply lobate, matt or somewhat glossy, dark olive-green; isidia dense, often covering older parts of thallus, globose. Lobes rounded, sometimes imbricate; margin entire, sometimes isidiate. Apothecia scattered to crowded, to 0.8 mm wide, sessile, broadly adnate or base constricted; disc flat or convex, matt or glossy, pale to dark red, sometimes with white pruina; thalline exciple thin, entire, sometimes becoming crenulate, slightly prominent. Asci 65–85 × 15–20 µm. Ascospores 30–48 × 4.5–5 µm, broadly acicular to oblong, straight or slightly curved, ends obtuse or acute, 4–6-celled, not constricted. Pycnidia uncommon, to 200 µm wide; pycnidial gel hyaline. Conidia 3–4 × 1 µm, straight, slightly swollen towards ends. | ||
