Thallus foliose, loosely adnate or subpulvinate, 3–8 cm wide, 60–120 µm thick, pale to darkened leaden grey. Lobes rotund to ±oblong, ±undulate; apices ±recurved, 2–4 mm wide; margins entire or sinuate, undulate ±recurved. Upper surface ±matt, wrinkled, ±bullate, not isidiate; wrinkles fine, very closely anastomosing. Lower surface naked or with minute rhizines. Apothecia laminal to submarginal, pedicellate, 1.5–5 mm wide; disc concave to flat, reddish brown; thalline exciple smooth, ±cream; pedicel hollow, dilated, vertically plicate, attached at upper margin of thalline exciple. Ascospores ellipsoidal, 25–35 × 13–15 µm. Pycnidia submarginal to laminal. Conidia 2–3 µm long; apices ±swollen. | ||
Occurs in north-eastern Qld as far south as Hinchinbrook Is. The species is probably pantropical, being recorded from New Guinea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Central and South America and from India. | ||
