| Thallus foliose, ±loosely adnate, occasionally pulvinate, 1–5 cm wide, 70–120 µm thick, ±dull leaden grey, or browned. Lobes rotund to oblong, undulate to ±convex, 1–3 mm wide; margins lobulate, sometimes isidiate. Upper surface smooth or roughened, isidiate, or lobulate; isidia squamuliform, occasionally dense. Lower surface not isidiate, often with conspicuous rhizines. Apothecia usually common, laminal, usually adnate, 1.5–4 mm wide; thalline exciple ±lobulate or ocasionally isidiate, usually cream, often with basal hairs, the hairs sometimes microscopic; disc concave to flat or ±convex, reddish brown or blackening. Ascospores ellipsoidal, submuriform, 20–28 × 8–10 µm; apices obtuse. Pycnidia ±submarginal. Conidia 4–5 µm long; apices not swollen. | ||
| Occurs in montane to subalpine regions of Vic. and Tas., but not common. Inhabits eucalypt woodland and forest at the edges of rainforest or near creeks, rivers or lakes; also in New Zealand. | ||
