| Similar to M. antrea but thallus on bark, usually 250–350 µm thick. Upper surface pale grey-green to green, the spots inconspicuous or absent. Lower surface with sparse brown fasciculate rhizines, and ±pigmented simple rhizines usually numerous; anastomosing hyphal mat sometimes present. Pycnidia with papillae 200–300 µm high. Conidia 11–16 µm long. CHEMISTRY: as for M. antrea. | ||
| More widespread than M. antrea and grows on trunks of trees in monsoon rainforest of north-eastern Qld, sometimes in open or stunted rainforest. | ||
