Thallus off-white, thin, cracked, smooth and dull. Soredia and isidia absent. Apothecia scattered, verruciform, rarely confluent, hemispherical, concolorous with the thallus, 0.5–0.8 mm diam. Ostioles inconspicuous, black, punctiform, 1 per verruca. Ascospores 8 per ascus, uniseriate, ellispoidal to subfusiform, 60–70 × 25-30 µm. CHEMISTRY: Thallus K–, KC–, C–, Pd–; containing 2’-O-methylstenosporic acid (major), 2-chlorolichexanthone (minor), 2’-O-methylperlatolic acid (trace) and 2’-O-methyldivaricatic acid (trace). | ||
A rare, endemic, corticolous species that is known only from the type locality in north-eastern Qld. | ||
