  Thallus thin, pale yellow, granular to tuberculate, dull. Soredia and isidia absent. Apothecia inconspicuous, verruciform, irregularly hemispherical, concolorous with the thallus, 0.7–1.4 mm diam. Ostioles uncommon, inconspicuous, black, punctiform, 1 per verruca. Ascospores 8 per ascus, ellipsoidal to subfusiform, biseriate, 70–95 × 28–37 µm. CHEMISTRY: Thallus K–, KC–, C–, Pd+ orange-red; containing protocetraric acid (major).
     
  A rare, endemic, corticolous species from south-eastern Vic.; known only from the type locality.
