Pertusaria jamesii Kantvilas

  Thallus effuse, thin, pale creamish grey. Soredia and isidia absent. Apothecia numerous, disciform, scattered or clustered, very pale grey, with margins inrolled on immature apothecia, 0.3–0.5 (–0.6) mm diam.; disc pale orange, epruinose. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, ovate to ellipsoidal, 24–38 (–48) × (10–) 14–21 (–24) µm. CHEMISTRY: Thallus K–, KC–, C–, Pd–; no lichen compounds detected.
     
  An uncommon, corticolous species found mainly in cool-temperate rainforest in N.S.W. and Tas.; also in New Zealand, Argentina and Chile.
