Thallus greyish white, slightly cracked, smooth and glossy. Soredia absent. Isidia densely crowded, concolorous with the thallus, unbranched, 1–2 mm tall, 0.3–0.5 mm wide. Apothecia not seen. CHEMISTRY: Thallus K+ yellow → red, KC–, C–, Pd+ orange; containing salazinic acid (major) and consalazinic acid (trace). | ||
An endemic, saxicolous species that is known only from the type locality in Tas. | ||
