Thallus bryophilous, diffuse and inconspicuous, dull pale greenish, less than 20 µm thick, ecorticate; prothallus not apparent. Algae Trentepohlia; cells 6–12 × 5–10 µm. Perithecia superficial, subglobose to globose, 0.14–0.25 mm diam., dull black; apex rounded or very slightly pointed; ostiole inconspicuous. Involucrellum contiguous with and almost enclosing the exciple, 30–40 µm thick, K–. Exciple 10–15 µm thick, medium brown. Centrum c. 0.12–0.16 mm wide. Asci elongate-cylindrical, elongate-fusiform or narrowly obclavate, 94–122 × 9–12 µm. Ascospores elongate-fusiform to oblong, 7-septate, 26–38 × 3–5.5 µm; perispore not apparent. Pycnidia not seen. |

Endemic to Tas. and only known from the type locality; grows on epiphytic bryophytes in montane rainforest. | ||
