  Thallus epilithic, diffuse to continuous or sparingly rimose, pale grey-green and inconspicuous to dark green, filmy, matt, smooth to minutely rugulose, 15–30 µm thick, ecorticate. Algae Trentepohlia; cells 6–10 (–12) × 6–10 µm. Perithecia superficial, hemispherical, subconical or subglobose, 0.14–0.26 mm diam., black; apex rounded; ostiole inconspicuous or in a shallow depression. Involucrellum arching away from the exciple, extending to exciple base level, 20–25 (–35) µm thick, K–. Exciple 12–15 µm thick, pale to dark brown. Centrum 0.1–0.16 mm wide. Asci elongate-cylindrical or narrowly obclavate, 60–74 × 7–9 µm. Ascospores fusiform to elongate-fusiform, 3-septate, 13–20 × 2.5–3.8 µm; perispore not apparent. Pycnidia semi-immersed to almost superficial, c. 0.1 mm diam., black. Conidia fusiform, 2–3 × 1 µm.
     
  Endemic to northern N.T. and eastern Qld; grows on shaded granite and basalt in monsoonal vine forest and rainforest.
