| Thallus epiphloeodal, diffuse to determinate, medium greyish green, matt, smooth to minutely uneven, continuous, 20–40 µm thick, ecorticate; prothallus not apparent. Algae Trentepohlia; cells 6–24 × 6–16 µm. Perithecia almost superficial, strongly convex, hemispherical or subglobose, 0.22–0.4 (–0.62) mm diam., pale to medium orange-brown; apex rounded or somewhat flattened; ostiole inconspicuous or in a 40–60 µm wide depression or slightly papillate. Involucrellum contiguous with the exciple and extending to exciple base level, 40–70 µm thick, overgrown by a thin thalline layer, K– or K+ reddish brown. Exciple 16–30 µm thick, hyaline. Centrum 0.14–0.29 mm wide. Asci ±cylindrical, 78–134 × 12–24 µm. Ascospores fusiform-cylindrical, 7-septate, 25–60 × 5–10.5 µm, with or without a distinct perispore. Pycnidia not seen. |  |
