Thallus epilithic, continuous to sparingly rimose, fawn to medium orange-brown to orange-green, matt, minutely uneven, 20–60 (–80) µm thick, ecorticate; prothallus not apparent. Algae Trentepohlia; cells 12–32 × 10–25 µm. Perithecia ±hemispherical to subglobose,
0.4–0.62 mm diam., concolorous with the thallus or slightly darker; apex rounded or somewhat flattened; ostiole inconspicuous or papillate. Involucrellum extending to exciple base level, 60–100 µm thick, containing algae, K–. Exciple 20–30 µm thick, hyaline to pale orange-brown. Centrum 0.3–0.38 mm wide. Asci elongate-cylindrical, 100–120 × 11–15 µm. Ascospores fusiform to broadly fusiform, 3-septate, 18–26 × 4.5–7.5 µm; perispore not apparent. Pycnidia immersed, 0.08–0.14 mm diam., orange-brown. Conidia filiform, 5–9 × 0.5 µm. |

Endemic to Tas. and known only from the type locality where it grows on quartz at an altitude of 1080 m. | ||
