Thallus greenish white, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, open, immersed, becoming subsessile, white, irregularly ellipsoidal, straight or curved, 1–4 mm long, 0.4–1.0 mm wide; thalline margin inconspicuous at first, becoming prominent. Surface of disc densely white-pruinose, exposing the black epihymenium when abraded. Proper exciple thin, complete and reddish brown to black, or lacking. Hymenium 150–200 µm thick, I–. Ascospores 1 per ascus, densely muriform, (100–) 125–150 (–175) × 20–30 µm, I+ blue-violet. CHEMISTRY: Protocetraric acid, ±convirensic acid. |

Corticolous in eastern Qld and N.S.W.; mainly pantropical. | ||
