Thallus off-white, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, black, semi-immersed, straight, curved or sinuous, rarely branched, 1–3 mm long, 0.2–0.3 mm wide; lips closed or becoming slightly open, with thin variable thalline margin. Proper exciple laterally or sometimes almost completely carbonised. Hymenium 120–150 (–200) µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 1 per ascus, densely muriform, c. 16 × 6-locular, (55–) 60–86 (–92) × (16–)
20–32 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |

Corticolous in eastern Qld; also in the Solomon Islands and the Chagos Archipelago (Indian Ocean). | ||
