| Thallus pale olive-green to pale fawn, smooth, dull. Ascomata numerous, conspicuous, thin, black, initially simple, becoming richly branched, sessile, 1–5 mm long, 0.15–0.25 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 90–120 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, transversely 8–10-locular, 30–40 × 5–8 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |

| A rather common corticolous species in southern W.A., eastern Qld, N.S.W. and Vic.; also in Brazil and Costa Rica. | ||
