Thallus off-white to pale fawn, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, numerous, crowded, sessile, prominent, simple, straight or slightly curved, terminally acute, with a thalline margin to the top of the exciple, 0.7–2.0 mm long, 0.2–0.3 mm wide; lips closed, sometimes becoming slightly open to expose the white-pruinose disc. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–150 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 14–16-locular, 54–70 × 9–10 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |
