Thallus off-white, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata black, inconspicuous, immersed, level with the thallus surface, straight, curved or sinuous, sometimes branched, 1–2 mm long, (0.05–) 0.10–0.15 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple laterally carbonised. Hymenium 75–100 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 8–10 (–11)-locular, 30–42 × 6–8 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Stictic acid. |

An uncommon, corticolous species in eastern Qld; also in India, Christmas Island, the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu. | ||
