Thallus off-white to pale fawn, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, scattered, sessile, with a complete thalline margin and thin thalline coating on the exposed exciple, sulcate, straight, curved or sinuous, simple, rarely branched, 1.0–2.5 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 150–200 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 2–4 per ascus, 16–20-locular, (72–) 80–100 × 8–12 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |
