| Thallus off-white to pale fawn, smooth, dull. Ascomata numerous, crowded, conspicuous, in stellate clusters to 2 mm wide; individual lirellae 1.0–1.5 mm long, 0.10–0.15 mm wide, terminally acute; lips open. Disc matt brownish black, epruinose. Proper exciple dark brown, thin, complete. Hymenium 80–90 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, pale brown, 4-locular, 16–18 × 6–8 µm. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid (major), connorstictic acid (minor). |
