1.Note that another plant was featured in the 1963 issue, on a 4 cent stamp labelled only with a common name "Moonflower" [image]. The plant depicted is a night-blooming cactus, with the original artwork held in Australia Post's National Philatelic Collection identifying it as Epiphyllum oxypetalum. Other common names for this species include Queen of the Night. As E. oxypetalum is not native to or listed as naturalised on Christmas Island it is not included in the main listing.^ Epiphyllum oxypetalum stamp
